Test for Vasectomy Success
Semen Analysis is done consecutively for three months to check for the presence of sperms in the Semen after Vasectomy.

• Absence of Ejaculation for 24 to 72 hours before the Semen Analysis test
• Avoid Alcohol, Caffeine, and drugs such as Cocaine and Marijuana, two to five days before the test
• Avoid any Hormonal medications as instructed by your doctor
• Stop taking any Herbal medications, such as St. John's wort and Echinacea, as instructed by your doctor
The Semen must be collected in a wide mouthed sterile container generally through Self stimulation (Masturbation). The Semen collection can be done in a private room within the clinic.
Two main factors are important for having a good testing Semen sample. First, the Semen must be kept at body temperature. The results will be inaccurate if it gets too warm or too cold. Secondly, the Semen must be delivered to the testing facility within 30 to 60 minutes of leaving the body.
